Oakdale, Minn. For the second year, the Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Alliance will host its Outdoor Heritage Youth Expo, this year to be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 16, at the Prom Center in Oakdale, Minn.

The expo gives youth opportunities to learn about conservation and wildlife; to meet with colleges and universities about outdoor careers; and to learn about the groups that support conservation, hunting, and fishing. Grand Rapids, Minn. Preparation for the Sept. 15 deer bowhunting season can begin early this year, as the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association hosts a 3-D archery shoot on Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Minnesota Shooting Sports Education Center in Grand Rapids,

The MDHA 3-D shoot will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Archery equipment dealers will be on hand and there will be novelty events.
