  LAKE MILLE LACS East – With the full moon this week and water temperatures dropping, look for walleyes to hit crankbaits at night in six to 12 feet. During the day, 15 to 18 feet remains best with live bait off the reefs or on the mud flats in 22 to 28 feet. Start working

  MANKATO AREA Crankbaits are producing walleyes in 18 feet on Lake Washington and you’ll find sunfish here along the 10-foot weed edge. A jig and minnow or shallow-running crankbait will produce walleyes on Lake Hanska in less than six feet. Work the deep holes of the Minnesota River for catfish and an occasional walleye.

  DULUTH AREA Island Lake continues to produce walleyes in 10 to 12 feet, mainly with chubs. Crappies are hitting minnows at Fish Lake over 15 feet and muskie reports have improved on Island and the St. Louis River with large sucker minnows. Bear and deer hunters each registered a handful of animals over the

  ALEXANDRIA AREA Minnows are turning walleyes in 16 to 25 feet on Lake Ida, Lake Miltona, and Lake Le Homme Dieu. Look for panfish on the weedlines or slightly off the weeds and suspended at Lake Carlos, Lake Darling, Lake Mary, and Ida. Muskies are being caught on CowGirls along the weedlines of Miltona

  LAKE MINNETONKA AREA Bass and walleyes are hitting minnows and crankbaits during low-light periods in the channels and from the weedlines out to 25 feet during the day on Lake Minnetonka. Lake Sarah is kicking out sunfish in 10 to 15 feet and spinnerbaits are turning pike on the 12- to 15-foot weedlines of
