I spent a recent trip to the Maumee River and I was up there fishing alone. I can’t recall the last time that’s happened but it caused reflection to take place.
It’s crazy to think that I’ve been going up to the Maumee for 26 years. When I first started going up there, I wasn’t allowed to fish. It was too dangerous, I’d sit on the bank until my dad got his limit and I’d get the pleasure of walking the fish all the way back to our campsite.
