Commentary: Use science to predict the whitetail rut
Please don’t fall into believing claims made on anecdotal information when it comes to peak breeding dates for whitetails. Use science. Do your research, keep up on the latest studies, keep an open mind, and make your hunting plans accordingly. When someone makes a claim, factcheck it! A confident hunter is one who likely will enter his stand more quietly, be more attentive, and spend more time hunting. I hypothesize – no predict – that those actions will produce better results.
