The City of Hamilton was awarded $2.44 million in funding through the H2Ohio Rivers program to begin design and technical evaluation of how the city’s Great Miami River low dam could be removed or modified. The dam is just south of the city. This funding supports engineering, design, and evaluation work, according to the Miami Conservancy District (MCD). It does not fund construction.
