For most hunters, taking a trophy bear is a once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment.
For Lapeer County’s Dave Demsky, it happened on his very first bear hunt.
And not just any bear. Demsky’s Menominee County bruin weighed an estimated 578 pounds and is expected to qualify for the Boone and Crockett Club’s all-time record book.
