The recent news on state Rep. Dave Maloney’s push to have Lake Erie renamed “Lake Pennsylvania” has certainly triggered plenty of debate and attention.
Whether the name change happens or not remains to be seen (I do believe Maloney is serious in his intent), but at the very least the discussion has highlighted just how important the lake is to Pennsylvania.
