Scout more, haul less for opening-day ducks

Opening-day duck hunting has little in common with mid- to late-season duck hunting for a number of reasons. Thus, preparing for a duck opener means setting aside many of the concerns hunters face later in the waterfowl season and focusing on the fundamentals that will bring ducks to bag.
Here are some simple suggestions to consider when planning an opening day strategy.
