Western New York mourns the death of Capt. Hans Mann, a carver and muskie master, at age 46

Capt. Hans Christian Mann, of Alden, N.Y., considered a mountain of a man in all aspects of the phrase, passed away Aug. 6 at the age of 46 after a long illness.
Mann was known as a talented and caring human being who passed away during what should have been the prime of his life. He made a mark that will impact a legion of family, friends, and a fishing community for years to come.
