Dan Ladd: Adirondack’s Boreas Ponds all to ourselves

Four years earlier, Finch-Pruyn Co., a lumber company out of Glens Falls, had sold 161,000 acres to The Nature Conservancy, including the Boreas Ponds tract, which was targeted to be sold to New York State and added to the Adirondack Forest Preserve.
