A pair of gun rights groups claimed victory after a three-judge panel of the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals on May 18 ruled in their favor. The ruling strikes down a provision in Gov. Kathy Hochul’s 2022 Concealed Carry Improvement Act that banned the carrying of firearms on private property open to the public unless the owner(s) displayed signage granting such permission.
