Walleye stockings pushing Rose Lake toward goals in western Michigan

An interesting bit of history about the lake includes the fact that fish stockings were recorded as far back as 1876, when lake whitefish were released by the Michigan Fishery Commission. Common carp also were recorded as being stocked in 1894.
