Spring comes early to the Shawnee National Forest in Illinois. As the days grow longer and warmer, schoolchildren grow restless for the summer break – and DNR’s Division of Fisheries prepares its seasonal workers for the summer ahead.
Founded in 1985, DNR’s Urban and Community Fishing Program provides access to outdoor recreation and conservation opportunities for historically underserved, urban communities across the state.
