Minnesota anglers are starting to feel it now.
The state’s walleye and pike opener is less than two weeks away. While many anglers will get out onto small bodies of water in the early season, the following lakes are tried and true producers that bring walleye anglers back year after year. Here’s a look at how the ‘Great Eight’ Minnesota waters look heading into the 2026 open-water season.
