Wisconsin’s Greenhead Hunting Club closes boat launch on Horicon Marsh after realizing it owned the property

The Greenhead Hunting Club has closed its Greenhead boat launch on the east side of the state-managed part of Horicon Marsh in Dodge County, Wis.
A temporary launch has been established by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and plans are being made for a permanent replacement. The Greenhead Hunting Club launch has been open to the public for decades going back to the 1940s. It is listed on some DNR maps and literature as a public launch, and many people assumed it was owned by the DNR.
