Based on preliminary estimates from the Michigan DNR’s annual deer harvest survey compiled by statistician Brian Frawley, hunters harvested 25% more deer during 2024 seasons than the harvest reported via online or phone (electronically).
Survey estimates show hunters tagged 373,300 whitetails last fall compared to the 280,304 that were reported electronically. That’s a difference of 92,996 deer.
