More sightings of black bears in Ohio this year could mean more bears are calling the state home. Or, it could mean more cell phones and doorbell cameras are catching more bruins on the wander, according to Katy Dennison, a biologist with the Ohio DNR’s wildlife division.
There is plenty of evidence that it is the former, not the latter.
