Steve Piatt: A fear, but fascination, with rattlesnakes

I have a healthy respect for timber rattlesnakes, but only because they scare the hell out of me. And, oh yeah, they can kill you, too.

Yes, I know that in many cases a rattler won’t inject its venom when it bites, but that doesn’t matter. I’d likely die of a heart attack anyway. That said, despite those fears, I still have a fascination for rattlesnakes.
