Multiple reports indicate a massive fish kill that recently occurred in Middle Harbor between East Harbor and West Harbor this spring.
A circulating photo and phone calls to Ohio Division of Wildlife biologists confirmed that the fish in question were primarily carp and suckers. The smell of rotting fish carcasses caught the attention of many who found themselves downwind of them while visiting East Harbor State Park ahead of and during Memorial Day weekend.
