An all-time high of 329 teams entered the Illinois High School Association’s state bass fishing series this year – a year of big change for the ground-breaking activity launched in 2009.
A new format structure was introduced this year, adding a regional round feeding into a sectional round. Dates of the state finals tournament were pushed back, too. And there is a logistical change: for the first time ever, the finals will not be at Carlyle Lake.
