Michigan hunters relatively safe in 2024

Preliminary results from the 2024 hunting seasons show that hunting incidents last year fell below the 10-year average in Michigan.
There were five reported weapon-related incidents including one death. The 10-year average between 2013 and 2023 is a tad over eight per year.
