Midsummer fishing for largemouths involves weeds. Lily pads, wild rice, pencil reeds, and other thriving, aquatic vegetation can make fishing a real challenge. Couple that with the fact that all of that summer growth gives largemouths good places to hide, and you have a situation where you’d better get your offering into the slop or you’re out of luck.
Here are three mistakes most fishermen make when tossing fake amphibians for largemouth bass.
