DNR: Squirrel Lake fishery unharmed following illegal tribal harvest

Department of Natural Resources officials say that although 126 walleyes were illegally speared May 4 on Squirrel Lake, causing the Lac du Flambeau tribe to harvest 121 walleye more than the projected quota, the lake’s fishery there remains strong.
