The debate over stocking hatchery fish into any streams that could and should support wild brook trout has become more heated than ever. And now there is a new voice in the argument – the Pennsylvania Wild Trout Coalition (see this story).
The Fish & Boat Commission has made progress on this issue, but continues to stock streams wild trout advocates say it should not. One of the leading wild trout proponents is former Fish & Boat Commission executive director John Arway, a board member of the new wild trout coalition.
