New bass regulations for Ohio on the table

The Ohio Division of Wildlife is proposing to simplify statewide regulations for bass fishing, eliminating split bag and slot limits on fish in certain lakes and reservoirs.
The proposed regulations set a 12-inch size limit and a five-fish daily bag for lakes and reservoirs everywhere in Ohio. The proposed regulations went to state wildlife chief Kendra Wecker in May. The Ohio Wildlife Council will likely vote on them in September or October, according to Rich Zweifel, the division’s inland fisheries administrator.
