Legislation to legalize residential wildlife feeding, including deer, is awaiting a signature from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who vetoed the same proposal in 2021.
House Bill 4350 could create an exception to Michigan’s deer feeding ban that spans the Lower Peninsula by allowing wildlife and bird feeding within 300 feet of a residence, limited to two gallons of feed.
