The comeback of coasters — Lake Superior’s mysterious brook trout

New footage shows coasters spawning on Superior’s north shore of Canada.

Coasters are the colloquial name given to brook trout that live in Lake Superior. I always kind of assumed the coaster name was a Canadian thing but have since learned it is used all around the lake.
My home in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is located right on the north shore of Lake Superior, but coasters were not a common catch when I was a kid.
