During Governor’s Fish Ohio Day in Port Clinton on June 25, Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife (DOW) Chief Kendra Wecker announced that the research vessel Grandon, stationed at Fairport Harbor, will be replaced. It was put into service in 1990.
The yet to be named new research vessel has a budget of $5 million, including design work, and will built by a yet to be determined shipyard.
