Fourteen-year-old fisherman Jacob Chapman couldn’t resist the urge to try to catch a giant longnose gar when he spotted a school of them on Indian Creek in early June.
The section of Indian Creek Jacob was fishing runs through his home county of Butler. He was fishing for smallmouth bass when he noticed an unusual number of gar swimming nearby.
