It was no giant. In fact, it was a piker compared to the estimated 165-pounder that new state record holder Travis Keating caught about the same time on the same river. Still, my 54-incher was a dandy. It gave my Ambassador 6000 reel a real workout, and me too. After I released the fish, I wondered who I should thank for my good fortune.
