Panfish a top target at Upper Herring Lake in Michigan’s Benzie County

A trio of fish caught in Michigan’s Upper Herring Lake in the summer of 2025 were added to DNR’s Master Angler Program. All three – a 10-inch bluegill, a 21-inch largemouth bass, and a 12-inch rock bass – were caught in the month of June.
