Lake sturgeon are a fish species that create stories of a lifetime for many anglers. To pursue them, historically, you had to either go to Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin, St. Croix River, or to the northwoods on the U.S.-Canadian border.
That statement has been true for the last century but things are beginning to change around the Quad Cities waterways. Multiple states are working on the restoration of the species and some of those animals are showing up locally.
