Kirk Konichek, now a recreation warden with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and stationed in Viroqua, is not far from where he grew up.
He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School and then attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. He was with the Richland Center Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Department over the course of nine years.
