May in Minnesota now means a first crack at bass; here’s how to catch them

A significant change in regulations means Minnesota bass anglers can legally target both largemouth and smallmouth bass year round, with a portion of the season being catch and release only. (Harvest season openings and closures vary by region and species, and I’m not explaining all the nuances here.
