Sirens bawled across the countryside Saturday, April 18, as law enforcement from 17 agencies raced to the town of Blue Mounds to stem an unprecedented tide of animal activists who once again broke into Ridglan Farms, a scientific research and dog breeding facility there.
“It was clear from the beginning that this was not going to be a peaceful protest,” said Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett.
