Charter captains updated on Lake Erie topics, issues
On Saturday, March 7, about 140 people gathered to share and hear news and updates about operating vessels and fishing in Lake Erie at Ohio Sea Grant’s 45th annual charter captains conference at Bowling Green State University’s Firelands campus in Huron.
The March 7 date fell in between ice fishing and boating seasons this year, and thanks to a grant that allowed a reduction of the registration price, attendance climbed after drawing less than 100 participants last year.
