Oak Duke: Looking ahead to New York’s 2026 whitetail rut

Good news for archers and for those of us who carry firearms into the deer woods too, here in the northeast and the Midwest. Not only will the 2026 whitetail rut unfold earlier than last season but it will feature a second high point, thus two high activity periods.
