You’re no doubt aware that there’s to be a Duck Summit in Minnesota March 27-28. It all stemmed from a commentary from the Old Duck Managers Group in Outdoor News last summer. In it, they sounded the alarm on declining duck harvest and disappearing ducks in our once-envied waterfowling state.
This group struck a nerve, and it’s culminating in the organized meeting. Not for no reason, the summit will be held next door to the fabled Swan Lake in Nicollet. Pardon my cynicism, but I’m worried about what this summit will accomplish.
