Recently, some in the Pennsylvania Senate have made claims that public lands negatively impact local government due to loss in real estate tax revenue (the public lands making payment in lieu of taxes, or “PILT,” instead).
I wonder if these individuals are as concerned about losses in tax revenue due to private lands enrolled in the Clean and Green program’s Forest Reserve component?
