Two subjects that I don’t discuss with anyone other than family and close friends are politics and religion. They are personal, and I long ago concluded that what I think might be the most persuasive points I can put forth will not influence anybody’s thinking.
If you’ve read this column every month, then after several years perhaps you consider me a friend. That’s the way I used to feel about some of the writers who contributed to my favorite outdoor publications, so perhaps I can share with you a few thoughts about religion connected to the outdoor experience.
