Pennsylvania Reader Stories: You only get one dog like Jake in a lifetime

Jake was born April 10, 2012. We had the number-one pick for a yellow male lab, and we excitedly picked him up eight weeks later, in early June.
He had a good pedigree with field champions in it, and when we observed the litter, he was the busy one. He came to us right away, so we took him home.
