Relatively new to competitive target archery, New York’s Melissa Lanfair has big 2025 season

As the depth of winter settled in, and the short days became consumed by darkness in 2023, Melissa Lanfair, of Warrensburg, in Warren County, N.Y., who had been a lifelong hunter, decided to try her hand at target archery after being introduced to it at Hudson Falls Fish and Game Club in adjacent Washington County.
Within months, she found herself engrossed in everything archery and began picking the brains of amateurs and professionals alike, never willing to settle for anything less than her personal best.
