Illinois’ most visited state park will remain open during an $18 million trail improvement project set to begin this winter.
The project at Starved Rock State Park, expected to continue through 2026, will allow DNR to reopen several closed trails and expand hiking and recreational opportunities at the park, according to a community announcement.
