Rutting bucks are serious and on their feet during the daytime; hitting scrapes and signpost rubs, chasing does, and each other. This is the time we’ve been waiting for. Best time to waylay a big buck, when they let down their guard a bit, sacrificing safety to carve their initials in the herd’s DNA.
