Groups worry about outdoors during shutdown with more layoffs possible

As the end of October approaches, the federal government remains shut down, as it has been since the start of the month.
While many effects accompany a government shutdown, its impacts on natural resources management and long-term concerns regarding staffing of federal agencies is top of mind for folks in the conservation world.
