New catch-and-release record bowfin caught in Minnesota

Benjamin Erb, of Farmington, Minn., caught a 31-inch bowfin from the Mississippi River in Beltrami County.

The fish is the first to meet the minimum length requirement for the new catch-and-release record category established in 2024. Learn more about Minnesota’s catch-and-release records by visiting here.
