Whitefish woes continue in the lower Great Lakes

The plight of lake whitefish in the Great Lakes continues.
Whitefish are found in all of the Great Lakes but tend to be somewhat localized and seasonal. They’ve been an important subsistence species for Native Americans and a large component of the commercial catch in the Great Lakes region.
