Smallmouths offer good practice for Ohio steelhead anglers

Steelhead fishing reminds me of deer season. When hunting the rut during the second week of November or during the regular gun season, you will have company. In the same light, countless other anglers know when it is a good time to go for steelhead. Your plans may go out the window as soon as you arrive.
Driving more than two hours to reach the nearest river is my limiting factor. If I lived close by, I would go more often, try to find less occupied times, but that is not practical.
