An emerging pattern shows a good number of walleyes hugging tight to the bottom. When conventional presentations are not working, it’s time for a float and leech combination.
The majority of anglers bobber fish 12 to 18 inches above the bottom in hopes of success. While walleyes that are tight to the bottom can and will come up to feed, a presentation of 4 to 8 inches above the bottom can offer great results.
