Wisconsin’s Presque Isle Chain in Vilas County maintains well-rounded fishery

Vilas County’s Presque Isle Chain of Lakes includes Presque Isle, Averill, and Van Vliet lakes. Presque Isle covers 1,280 acres, has 9.3 miles of shoreline, and a maximum depth of 80 feet.
Averill Lake has a surface area of 71 acres, 1.8 miles of shoreline and maximum depth of 5 feet. Van Vliet Lake covers 220 acres, has 4.7 miles of shoreline and a depth of 20 feet.
